Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2019 Christies in London held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work Girl resting against a haystack by Jan Toorop. It changed hands for a price of GBP 52,500.00 (€ 61,243.08) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 35,000.00 – 55,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Toorop achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portret van mevrouw M.J. de Lange - Portrait of Mrs M.J. de Lange in November 2005 with an auction result of EUR 818,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2019 führte Christies in London die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Girl resting against a haystack von Jan Toorop zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 52.500,00 (€ 61.243,08) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 35.000,00 – 55.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Toorop erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portret van mevrouw M.J. de Lange - Portrait of Mrs M.J. de Lange im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 818.400,00.
