Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Tafels Ii (Tables Ii) by Jan Roeland was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in Amsterdam in April 2016. The price achieved of EUR 3,750.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Roeland - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tafel III, which sold at auction in December 2006 for EUR 9,600.00.

Die Arbeit Tafels Ii (Tables Ii) von Jan Roeland wurde im April 2016 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 3.750,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan Roeland mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tafel III beobachtet, die im Dezember 2006 für EUR 9.600,00 versteigert wurde.
