The work Dutch ooievaar (Stork) by Jan Roeland was sold in the Global Contemporary, Rijksakademie auction at Sothebys in Amsterdam in June 2010. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 8,500.00 70% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jan Roeland; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Tafel III sold at auction in December 2006 with the realized price of EUR 9,600.00.

Die Arbeit Dutch ooievaar (Stork) von Jan Roeland wurde im Juni 2010 in der Auktion Global Contemporary, Rijksakademie bei Sothebys in Amsterdam versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 8.500,00 und damit 70% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Jan Roeland; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Tafel III im Dezember 2006 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 9.600,00.
