Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Paris street by Jan Rijlaarsdam was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2010. The price achieved of EUR 3,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Rijlaarsdam - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Flowergirl, which sold at auction in June 2001 for NLG 18,800.00 (€ 9,036.16).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 3.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan Rijlaarsdam mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Flowergirl beobachtet, die im Juni 2001 für NLG 18.800,00 (€ 9.036,16) versteigert wurde.
