Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2011 a collector was able to acquire the work Two figures in the dark by Jan Rijlaarsdam for EUR 875.00. This price was achieved in the auction Nineteen to Now, Art from the 19th, 20th and the 21st Centuries at Christies in Amsterdam and was even below the estimate range of EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Rijlaarsdam achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Flowergirl in June 2001 with an auction result of NLG 18,800.00 (€ 9,036.16).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2011 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Two figures in the dark von Jan Rijlaarsdam für EUR 875,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Nineteen to Now, Art from the 19th, 20th and the 21st Centuries bei Christies in Amsterdam erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Rijlaarsdam erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Flowergirl im Juni 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 18.800,00 (€ 9.036,16).
