Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Figures gathered in a street at night by Jan Luyken was sold in the Old Master, 19th Century & British Drawings & Watercolours auction at Christies in London in December 2010. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,625.00 (€ 1,885.00). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Luyken achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The construction of Solomon's temple in January 2009 with an auction result of USD 45,000.00 (€ 35,145.27).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Figures gathered in a street at night von Jan Luyken wurde im Dezember 2010 in der Auktion Old Master, 19th Century & British Drawings & Watercolours bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.625,00 (€ 1.885,00) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Luyken erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The construction of Solomon's temple im Januar 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 45.000,00 (€ 35.145,27).
