Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work A Man Attacked In His Bed by Jan Luyken for EUR 750.00. This price was achieved in the auction The I.Q. van Regteren Altena Collection Part II. Dutch and Flemish Drawings from 1500-1900 at Christies in Amsterdam and was even below the estimate range of EUR 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Luyken achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The construction of Solomon's temple in January 2009 with an auction result of USD 45,000.00 (€ 35,145.27).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2014 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A Man Attacked In His Bed von Jan Luyken für EUR 750,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The I.Q. van Regteren Altena Collection Part II. Dutch and Flemish Drawings from 1500-1900 bei Christies in Amsterdam erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Luyken erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The construction of Solomon's temple im Januar 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 45.000,00 (€ 35.145,27).
