The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 4,375.00 (€ 4,038.96) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Jan Luyken have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The construction of Solomon's temple in January 2009 with an auction result of USD 45,000.00 (€ 35,145.27).
