In January last year a collector was able to acquire the work Six studies for The Martyrs' Mirror: A) The Torture of Geleijn the shoemaker, 1572 B) The Martyrdom of Anneken Heyndricks, 1571 C) The Burial alive of Anneke van den Hove, Brussels, 1597 D) Adriaen Wens at the place of execution of his mother E) 180 by Jan Luyken for USD 7,560.00 (€ 6,742.78). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master and British Works on Paper at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate ra Admittedly, works by Jan Luyken have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The construction of Solomon's temple in January 2009 with an auction result of USD 45,000.00 (€ 35,145.27).

Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master and British Works on Paper bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00.
