Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings: Part I, which included the work Gamepiece With A Hare And Various Wild Birds, A Cat Approaching From The Right by Jan Fyt. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 221,000.00 (€ 195,748.45) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Jan Fyt have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2018 the work Studies of the head of a wild boar was auctioned for GBP 236,750.00 (€ 263,760.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Master Paintings: Part I durch, in der auch die Arbeit Gamepiece With A Hare And Various Wild Birds, A Cat Approaching From The Right von Jan Fyt zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 221.000,00 (€ 195.748,45) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Jan Fyt konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Dezember 2018 die Arbeit Studies of the head of a wild boar für GBP 236.750,00 (€ 263.760,50) versteigert.
