Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Amsterdam / GGD IV by Jan Dibbets was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in Amsterdam in April 2017. The price achieved of EUR 25,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Dibbets - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Shutterspeed Piece - Konrad Fisher's Gallery I, which sold at auction in November 2019 for EUR 68,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Amsterdam / GGD IV von Jan Dibbets wurde im April 2017 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 25.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan Dibbets mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Shutterspeed Piece - Konrad Fisher's Gallery I beobachtet, die im November 2019 für EUR 68.750,00 versteigert wurde.
