Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2012 Christies in London held the auction Post War and Contemporary Art 1990 To Now, which included the work Sid and Socks by James White. The price achieved of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,851.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by James White have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Double Glass in May this year with an auction result of USD 40,640.00 (€ 38,145.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion Post War and Contemporary Art 1990 To Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sid and Socks von James White zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.851,52) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von James White auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Double Glass im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 40.640,00 (€ 38.145,30).
