Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Still Life #2 by James Robert Valerio was sold in the Contemporary Curated auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2018. The price achieved of USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,604.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by James Robert Valerio - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still Life #2, which sold at auction in March 2017 for USD 22,500.00 (€ 21,031.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Still Life #2 von James Robert Valerio wurde im September 2018 in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 8.604,37) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von James Robert Valerio mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Still Life #2 beobachtet, die im März 2017 für USD 22.500,00 (€ 21.031,97) versteigert wurde.
