Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Scottish Art, which included the work Still Life by James Stuart Park. It changed hands for a price of GBP 2,772.00 (€ 3,254.59) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by James Stuart Park have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Yellow and pink roses in October 2003 with an auction result of GBP 18,522.50 (€ 27,053.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Scottish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life von James Stuart Park zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 2.772,00 (€ 3.254,59) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von James Stuart Park auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Yellow and pink roses im Oktober 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.522,50 (€ 27.053,80).
