Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by James Stuart Park could be acquired at Bonhams in Edinburgh in May last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Scottish Art auction, the work A still life of cream and red roses changed hands for GBP 484.50 (€ 569.97) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Stuart Park achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Yellow and pink roses in October 2003 with an auction result of GBP 18,522.50 (€ 27,053.80).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von James Stuart Park konnte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Edinburgh für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Scottish Art wechselte die Arbeit A still life of cream and red roses für GBP 484,50 (€ 569,97) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James Stuart Park erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Yellow and pink roses im Oktober 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.522,50 (€ 27.053,80).
