Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A near pair of still lifes; by James Stuart Park was auctioned at Bonhams in Edinburgh in May last year. The price achieved of GBP 1,402.50 (€ 1,649.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Stuart Park achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Yellow and pink roses in October 2003 with an auction result of GBP 18,522.50 (€ 27,053.80).
