Auction result well in line with expectations
In May this year Bonhams held the auction Scottish Art, which included the work Still life of roses oval form sight size 54.5 x 89cm (21 7/16 x 35 1/16in), stretcher size 56 x 91.5cm (22 1/16 x 36in). by James Stuart Park. The price achieved of GBP 1,275.00 (€ 1,483.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Stuart Park achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Yellow and pink roses in October 2003 with an auction result of GBP 18,522.50 (€ 27,053.80).

Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Scottish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still life of roses oval form sight size 54.5 x 89cm (21 7/16 x 35 1/16in), stretcher size 56 x 91.5cm (22 1/16 x 36in). von James Stuart Park zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.275,00 (€ 1.483,47) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James Stuart Park erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Yellow and pink roses im Oktober 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.522,50 (€ 27.053,80).
