Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Bonhams in Edinburgh held the auction Scottish Art, which included the work White and red roses by James Stuart Park. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 765.00 (€ 899.95) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Stuart Park achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Yellow and pink roses in October 2003 with an auction result of GBP 18,522.50 (€ 27,053.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Edinburgh die Auktion Scottish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit White and red roses von James Stuart Park zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 765,00 (€ 899,95) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James Stuart Park erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Yellow and pink roses im Oktober 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.522,50 (€ 27.053,80).
