Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Bonhams in Edinburgh held the auction Scottish Art, which included the work Pink Anemones by James Stuart Park. The price achieved of GBP 1,083.75 (€ 1,274.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Stuart Park achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Yellow and pink roses in October 2003 with an auction result of GBP 18,522.50 (€ 27,053.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Edinburgh die Auktion Scottish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pink Anemones von James Stuart Park zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.083,75 (€ 1.274,93) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James Stuart Park erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Yellow and pink roses im Oktober 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.522,50 (€ 27.053,80).
