Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by James Nares was auctioned at Christies in New York in July 2018. The price achieved of USD 5,000.00 (€ 4,271.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Nares achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Take 118 - Blue Black in July 2014 with an auction result of USD 87,500.00 (€ 65,347.27).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von James Nares kam im Juli 2018 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 4.271,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James Nares erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Take 118 - Blue Black im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 87.500,00 (€ 65.347,27).
