The auction ended at the price of EUR 1,500.00, which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by James Loder of Bath have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work British Preparing For The Hunt, A Dapple Grey And A Bay Hunter In A Stable in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 13,750.00 (€ 9,361.38).

Die Arbeit Portrait of a gentlemen von James Loder of Bath kam im Dezember 2010 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 1.500,00 entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von James Loder of Bath auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit British Preparing For The Hunt, A Dapple Grey And A Bay Hunter In A Stable im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 13.750,00 (€ 9.361,38).
