Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work Three Brothers by James Gale Tyler for USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,924.29). This price was achieved in the auction American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Gale Tyler achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work New York Yacht Club Racing Boats In New York Harbor in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 162,500.00 (€ 153,853.44).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2015 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Three Brothers von James Gale Tyler für USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.924,29) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James Gale Tyler erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit New York Yacht Club Racing Boats In New York Harbor im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 162.500,00 (€ 153.853,44).
