Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2007 Christies in New York held the auction Maritime, which included the work Fishing at night by James Gale Tyler. The price achieved of USD 4,200.00 (€ 3,063.23) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Gale Tyler achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work New York Yacht Club Racing Boats In New York Harbor in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 162,500.00 (€ 153,853.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2007 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Maritime durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fishing at night von James Gale Tyler zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.200,00 (€ 3.063,23) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James Gale Tyler erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit New York Yacht Club Racing Boats In New York Harbor im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 162.500,00 (€ 153.853,44).
