In the American Paintings auction, the work Tall In The Saddle sold for USD 55,000.00 (€ 34,799.11) - well above the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by James Elwood Reynolds; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Touch and Go sold at auction in February 2019 with the realized price of USD 43,750.00 (€ 38,448.02).
