Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Boss of the C-S by James Elwood Reynolds was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in April last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 12,750.00 (€ 12,100.22) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by James Elwood Reynolds - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Touch and Go, which sold at auction in February 2019 for USD 43,750.00 (€ 38,448.02).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Boss of the C-S von James Elwood Reynolds kam im April letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 12.750,00 (€ 12.100,22) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von James Elwood Reynolds mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Touch and Go beobachtet, die im Februar 2019 für USD 43.750,00 (€ 38.448,02) versteigert wurde.
