Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2018 Christies in New York held the auction Prints & Multiples, which included the work Personnages Surréalistes by Jacques Hérold. It changed hands for a price of USD 2,750.00 (€ 2,426.76) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jacques Hérold have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Le Grand Transparent in July 2005 with an auction result of EUR 22,200.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Prints & Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Personnages Surréalistes von Jacques Hérold zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 2.750,00 (€ 2.426,76) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jacques Hérold auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Le Grand Transparent im Juli 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 22.200,00.
