Etching with engraving, a good impression of a possible second (final) state, on paper with a Bunch of Grapes watermark, with thread margins at sides, trimmed to borderline below and just within at top, thin areas with associated repairs along upper edge of sheet, repairs at lower left with associated ink loss, the Le Blond address no longer visible, a central horizontal fold, other minor defects

Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Gardener With A Basket On Her Arm (Walch 12; Anthony Griffiths 33) by Jacques Bellange was sold in the Old Master, Modern and Contemporary Prints auction at Sothebys in London in April 2009. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,587.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jacques Bellange have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Martyrdom Of Saint Andrew in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 34,686.15).
