Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of a gentleman, three-quarter-length, in a black doublet and cape, holding a pair of gloves in his left hand, his right hand on a table by Jacopo Robusti was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2016. The price achieved of GBP 92,500.00 (€ 109,910.01) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacopo Robusti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of A An Elderly Bearded Man, Head And Shoulders in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 1,609,250.00 (€ 2,044,570.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of a gentleman, three-quarter-length, in a black doublet and cape, holding a pair of gloves in his left hand, his right hand on a table von Jacopo Robusti kam im Juli 2016 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 92.500,00 (€ 109.910,01) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacopo Robusti erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait Of A An Elderly Bearded Man, Head And Shoulders im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.609.250,00 (€ 2.044.570,24).
