Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings, which included the work Allegory Of Autumn by Jacopo Robusti. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 350,000.00 (€ 299,914.31) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Jacopo Robusti have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait Of A An Elderly Bearded Man, Head And Shoulders in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 1,609,250.00 (€ 2,044,570.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Allegory Of Autumn von Jacopo Robusti zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 300.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 350.000,00 (€ 299.914,31) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jacopo Robusti auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait Of A An Elderly Bearded Man, Head And Shoulders im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.609.250,00 (€ 2.044.570,24).
