Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2016 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Jacob Kassay for USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,980.69). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacob Kassay achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in November 2013 with an auction result of USD 317,000.00 (€ 232,985.45).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2016 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Jacob Kassay für USD 10.000,00 (€ 8.980,69) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Phillips in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacob Kassay erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 317.000,00 (€ 232.985,45).
