Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jacob Axel Gillberg could be acquired at Bukowski in Stockholm in December 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Important Winter Sale auction, the work ”Thomas Anders Aspelin” (1767-1836) & hos wife ”Lovisa Aspelin” née Dybeck (1780-1854) changed hands for SEK 7,400.00 (€ 705.26) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of SEK 8,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacob Axel Gillberg achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A young Hussar, facing right in fur-bordered blue coat with gold brocade, white ribbon tied on his left elbow, red waistcoat with gold loops, blue and gold sash, lace cravat and black stock, fair hair dressed in plaits, beard in November 2001 with an auction result of GBP 4,465.00 (€ 7,105.22).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jacob Axel Gillberg konnte im Dezember 2019 bei Bukowski in Stockholm für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Important Winter Sale wechselte die Arbeit ”Thomas Anders Aspelin” (1767-1836) & hos wife ”Lovisa Aspelin” née Dybeck (1780-1854) für SEK 7.400,00 (€ 705,26) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von SEK 8.000,00 – 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacob Axel Gillberg erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A young Hussar, facing right in fur-bordered blue coat with gold brocade, white ribbon tied on his left elbow, red waistcoat with gold loops, blue and gold sash, lace cravat and black stock, fair hair dressed in plaits, beard im November 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.465,00 (€ 7.105,22).
