Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work "Self portrait" by Jacob Axel Gillberg was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in June 2021. It achieved a price of SEK 12,000.00 (€ 1,182.98), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. Admittedly, works by Jacob Axel Gillberg have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A young Hussar, facing right in fur-bordered blue coat with gold brocade, white ribbon tied on his left elbow, red waistcoat with gold loops, blue and gold sash, lace cravat and black stock, fair hair dressed in plaits, beard in November 2001 with an auction result of GBP 4,465.00 (€ 7,105.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit "Self portrait" von Jacob Axel Gillberg kam im Juni 2021 bei Bukowski in Stockholm zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von SEK 12.000,00 (€ 1.182,98) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jacob Axel Gillberg auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A young Hussar, facing right in fur-bordered blue coat with gold brocade, white ribbon tied on his left elbow, red waistcoat with gold loops, blue and gold sash, lace cravat and black stock, fair hair dressed in plaits, beard im November 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.465,00 (€ 7.105,22).
