The »bidding war« ended at SEK 11,000.00 (€ 1,281.36), 38% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Jacob Axel Gillberg have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A young Hussar, facing right in fur-bordered blue coat with gold brocade, white ribbon tied on his left elbow, red waistcoat with gold loops, blue and gold sash, lace cravat and black stock, fair hair dressed in plaits, beard in November 2001 with an auction result of GBP 4,465.00 (€ 7,105.22).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von SEK 11.000,00 (€ 1.281,36) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis.
