In June 2014 Bukowski in Stockholm held the auction Classic Sale, which included the work "Magnus von Rosen" (1792-1852) by Jacob Axel Gillberg. The »bidding war« ended at SEK 9,000.00 (€ 982.83), 50% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Jacob Axel Gillberg have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A young Hussar, facing right in fur-bordered blue coat with gold brocade, white ribbon tied on his left elbow, red waistcoat with gold loops, blue and gold sash, lace cravat and black stock, fair hair dressed in plaits, beard in November 2001 with an auction result of GBP 4,465.00 (€ 7,105.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2014 führte Bukowski in Stockholm die Auktion Classic Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit "Magnus von Rosen" (1792-1852) von Jacob Axel Gillberg zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von SEK 9.000,00 (€ 982,83) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jacob Axel Gillberg auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A young Hussar, facing right in fur-bordered blue coat with gold brocade, white ribbon tied on his left elbow, red waistcoat with gold loops, blue and gold sash, lace cravat and black stock, fair hair dressed in plaits, beard im November 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.465,00 (€ 7.105,22).
