This artwork by Jacob Axel Gillberg achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bukowski in Stockholm in December 2012. In the Autumn Classic Sale, Stockholm auction, the work Empireherre sold for SEK 5,500.00 (€ 640.68) - well above the upper estimate of SEK 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacob Axel Gillberg achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A young Hussar, facing right in fur-bordered blue coat with gold brocade, white ribbon tied on his left elbow, red waistcoat with gold loops, blue and gold sash, lace cravat and black stock, fair hair dressed in plaits, beard in November 2001 with an auction result of GBP 4,465.00 (€ 7,105.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 83 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jacob Axel Gillberg erzielte im Dezember 2012 bei Bukowski in Stockholm einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Autumn Classic Sale, Stockholm wurde die Arbeit Empireherre für SEK 5.500,00 (€ 640,68) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von SEK 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacob Axel Gillberg erzielen.
