Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jack Lorimer Gray could be acquired at Christies in New York in July 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Maritime auction, the work At the dock; and In the shipyard changed hands for USD 1,440.00 (€ 1,128.17) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jack Lorimer Gray achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Running Before The Trades in June 2013 with an auction result of GBP 145,875.00 (€ 170,262.25).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jack Lorimer Gray konnte im Juli 2006 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Maritime wechselte die Arbeit At the dock; and In the shipyard für USD 1.440,00 (€ 1.128,17) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jack Lorimer Gray erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Running Before The Trades im Juni 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 145.875,00 (€ 170.262,25).
