The work Dressing Fish, Sable Island Bank by Jack Lorimer Gray was sold in the American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2010. The price achieved of USD 23,750.00 (€ 17,461.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jack Lorimer Gray have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Running Before The Trades in June 2013 with an auction result of GBP 145,875.00 (€ 170,262.25).
