Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work American Hauling In The Pots by Jack Lorimer Gray for USD 34,375.00 (€ 24,696.46). This price was achieved in the auction The Sporting Sale: Equestrian, Wildlife & Maritime Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Jack Lorimer Gray have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Running Before The Trades in June 2013 with an auction result of GBP 145,875.00 (€ 170,262.25).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit American Hauling In The Pots von Jack Lorimer Gray für USD 34.375,00 (€ 24.696,46) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Sporting Sale: Equestrian, Wildlife & Maritime Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jack Lorimer Gray auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Running Before The Trades im Juni 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 145.875,00 (€ 170.262,25).
