The work Structure et sable (Structure and Sand) by Jaap Wagemaker was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in April this year. It achieved a price of EUR 8,190.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 64 %. Admittedly, works by Jaap Wagemaker have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work De Ruiter in November 2000 with an auction result of NLG 72,552.40 (€ 33,989.64).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 64 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Structure et sable (Structure and Sand) von Jaap Wagemaker kam im April diesen Jahres bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 8.190,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 64 %. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jaap Wagemaker auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit De Ruiter im November 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 72.552,40 (€ 33.989,64).
