Auction result well in line with expectations
In April this year Christies in Amsterdam held the auction 20th/21st Century: Amsterdam, which included the work Peinture Noir (Black Paint) by Jaap Wagemaker. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 5,040.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Jaap Wagemaker have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work De Ruiter in November 2000 with an auction result of NLG 72,552.40 (€ 33,989.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April diesen Jahres führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion 20th/21st Century: Amsterdam durch, in der auch die Arbeit Peinture Noir (Black Paint) von Jaap Wagemaker zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 5.040,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jaap Wagemaker auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit De Ruiter im November 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 72.552,40 (€ 33.989,64).
