Auction result well in line with expectations
The work (i) Roestrood(ii) Zwart en Grijs by Jaap Wagemaker was sold in the Made in Holland: Celebrating 50 Years of Christie’s Amsterdam auction at Christies in New York in October this year. The price achieved of EUR 3,780.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jaap Wagemaker have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work De Ruiter in November 2000 with an auction result of NLG 72,552.40 (€ 33,989.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit (i) Roestrood(ii) Zwart en Grijs von Jaap Wagemaker wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion Made in Holland: Celebrating 50 Years of Christie’s Amsterdam bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 3.780,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jaap Wagemaker auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit De Ruiter im November 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 72.552,40 (€ 33.989,64).
