It achieved a price of EUR 10,000.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 67 %. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jaap Wagemaker - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work De Ruiter, which sold at auction in November 2000 for NLG 72,552.40 (€ 33,989.64).

Die Arbeit Mur Vivant (Living Wall) von Jaap Wagemaker wurde im April 2018 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 10.000,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 67 %. Für andere Arbeiten von Jaap Wagemaker mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit De Ruiter beobachtet, die im November 2000 für NLG 72.552,40 (€ 33.989,64) versteigert wurde.
