Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ostermontag 1931, Quadrille, Amriswil by Iwan E. Hugentobler was sold in the Sporting Art and Dogs auction at Christies in London in November 2004. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 501.90 (€ 721.98) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Iwan E. Hugentobler - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Frauenfeld, which sold at auction in November 2004 for GBP 1,792.50 (€ 2,578.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Ostermontag 1931, Quadrille, Amriswil von Iwan E. Hugentobler wurde im November 2004 in der Auktion Sporting Art and Dogs bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 501,90 (€ 721,98) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Iwan E. Hugentobler mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Frauenfeld beobachtet, die im November 2004 für GBP 1.792,50 (€ 2.578,50) versteigert wurde.
