Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2004 a collector was able to acquire the work Nationaler Concourse Hippique, Thun by Iwan E. Hugentobler for GBP 334.60 (€ 481.32). This price was achieved in the auction Sporting Art and Dogs at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Iwan E. Hugentobler have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Frauenfeld in November 2004 with an auction result of GBP 1,792.50 (€ 2,578.50).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2004 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Nationaler Concourse Hippique, Thun von Iwan E. Hugentobler für GBP 334,60 (€ 481,32) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Sporting Art and Dogs bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Iwan E. Hugentobler auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Frauenfeld im November 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.792,50 (€ 2.578,50).
