Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Iwan E. Hugentobler could be acquired at Christies in London in August 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British, Continental and Russian Pictures auction, the work Thun changed hands for GBP 120.00 (€ 178.45) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Iwan E. Hugentobler achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Frauenfeld in November 2004 with an auction result of GBP 1,792.50 (€ 2,578.50).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Iwan E. Hugentobler konnte im August 2006 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion British, Continental and Russian Pictures wechselte die Arbeit Thun für GBP 120,00 (€ 178,45) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Iwan E. Hugentobler erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Frauenfeld im November 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.792,50 (€ 2.578,50).
