Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2019 Christies in London held the auction Russian Art, which included the work Dunes au crépuscule by Ivan Pokhitonov. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 12,646.67) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ivan Pokhitonov achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sur la plage in November 2011 with an auction result of GBP 409,250.00 (€ 477,757.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2019 führte Christies in London die Auktion Russian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dunes au crépuscule von Ivan Pokhitonov zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 12.646,67) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ivan Pokhitonov erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sur la plage im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 409.250,00 (€ 477.757,47).
