Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Pictures, which included the work Lilacs On The Mantelpiece, Rue Du Trône by Ivan Pokhitonov. The price achieved of GBP 50,000.00 (€ 58,712.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ivan Pokhitonov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sur la plage in November 2011 with an auction result of GBP 409,250.00 (€ 477,757.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lilacs On The Mantelpiece, Rue Du Trône von Ivan Pokhitonov zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 50.000,00 (€ 58.712,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ivan Pokhitonov auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sur la plage im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 409.250,00 (€ 477.757,47).
