Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Château d’Anglet près de Biarritz by Ivan Pokhitonov was sold in the Russian Pictures auction at Sothebys in London in November 2021. The price achieved of GBP 113,400.00 (€ 133,142.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ivan Pokhitonov - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sur la plage, which sold at auction in November 2011 for GBP 409,250.00 (€ 477,757.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Château d’Anglet près de Biarritz von Ivan Pokhitonov wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion Russian Pictures bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 113.400,00 (€ 133.142,27) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Ivan Pokhitonov mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sur la plage beobachtet, die im November 2011 für GBP 409.250,00 (€ 477.757,47) versteigert wurde.
