In November 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Pictures, which included the work The New House At Zhabovshchizna, Near Minsk by Ivan Pokhitonov. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 56,250.00 (€ 66,051.25), 61% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Ivan Pokhitonov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sur la plage in November 2011 with an auction result of GBP 409,250.00 (€ 477,757.47).

Im November 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit The New House At Zhabovshchizna, Near Minsk von Ivan Pokhitonov zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 56.250,00 (€ 66.051,25) und damit 61% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ivan Pokhitonov auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sur la plage im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 409.250,00 (€ 477.757,47).
