Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mare And Foal by Ivan Pokhitonov was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2019. The price achieved of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 44,034.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ivan Pokhitonov achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sur la plage in November 2011 with an auction result of GBP 409,250.00 (€ 477,757.47).

Die Arbeit Mare And Foal von Ivan Pokhitonov kam im November 2019 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 37.500,00 (€ 44.034,17) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ivan Pokhitonov erzielen.
